Why You Should Stop Looking For Your Life Purpose With Kristin Taylor, Angel Expert

Today, I am joined by Kristin Taylor, Angel Expert, who will share why you should stop looking for your purpose and what you should focus on instead.

Hello and welcome, Kristin. I have been following your work for quite some time now and loved reading your new book “A Practical Guide to Ascension with Archangel Metatron Volume 2”. For those of our readers who may be unfamiliar with the process of “channeling”, can you share a little bit more about what channeling is and how you got into channeling the energy of Archangel Metatron?

Hi Kristina, thank you so much for asking me to participate in your blog.

I had an unusual childhood in that I was extremely psychic, but I didn’t understand what was happening to me. I always sensed energies and was aware of another world, beyond our physical world. I was too frightened to tell anyone, because it seemed other people were not having the same experiences as me. It didn’t help that I was raised very religiously, with all the fire and brimstone, fear-based stuff. So, I was pretty terrified of my gifts way up until adulthood.

I kept having quite unusual experiences until I finally decided to learn how to be more in control of my psychic abilities. So I started training as a healer and also in psychic development. I was drawn to angels, so I enrolled in an angelic channeling course in London.

Channeling is the process of contacting higher-level beings for guidance, healing and support. You have to learn how to do it, and also how to connect with the most appropriate beings, which are those of the ‘highest light.’ It takes some time to develop the skill.

In the class, I had been working with Archangels Michael, Uriel, Gabriel and Raphael. I loved connecting with them and did this daily. One evening in 2006, I received a visitation from an archangel who was not part of our class. I didn’t know who he was, but he seemed to do some kind of energy attunement on me. I could see (in my mind’s eye) all kinds of geometric shapes around him, all made of light.

The whole experience felt really blissful, but afterwards, I was still a bit scared. So I asked for confirmation of this archangel’s identity. It was verified for me in several ways, but one of the most memorable was when I was visiting a psychic fair. My eyes were drawn to a card with a picture of an archangel. He had geometric shapes made of light all around him and it said ‘Archangel Metatron!’ I had a deep knowing that this was the angel I had met. After reassuring myself that I had, in fact, made contact with Archangel Metatron, we slowly began to work more together.

One day, a few years back, I had channeled some written text, as I often do. As I was writing, I unknowingly wrote the words, ‘Kristin, this is a book.’ I was very surprised by this, but I kept going until my first book was finished. I’m so glad I did, because that book has changed so many lives and continues to do so.

Last year, during lockdown, I finished my second book, which was also channeled from Archangel Metatron. The second in the series, it dives deeper into the concept of ‘ascension’ and what it means, in everyday, approachable terms, for those on the spiritual path. The response to the second book has been overwhelmingly positive.

There will be a third book in this series, and hopefully many more. I’m so grateful for this work and for my partnership with Archangel Metatron.

In your new book, you bring quite a unique perspective on what one should do to “find their purpose” and mention that “we don’t have a life purpose but soul interests and life expression energies.” I found that quite fascinating as I, like many other people, used to think about what my purpose is and have asked myself multiple times whether I am “on the right path.” So, what are our soul interests and life expression energies?

I was also surprised when I channeled this information, but I, too, find it exciting!

Many people get very stressed about finding their life purposes, and this can create problems, including chronic anxiety and feelings of worthlessness. Archangel Metatron advises us that we should never take on board any spiritual (or other) practice that makes us feel anxious or stressed. If we feel this way, then he recommends we avoid that particular approach or practice.

Soul interests are areas of focus your soul selected for this lifetime. You chose them, at the soul level, for a particular reason, whether to learn, expand or contribute. They are always positive in nature, without exception, and lovingly attract your attention and energy. They focus less on what you do for work, and more on who you are. Each person has up to three soul interests during his or her lifetime.

Life expression energies are energies we naturally radiate, without even realizing it, and this has a healing effect on others. Our souls chose these specific energies to express in this incarnation. The frequencies of peace and harmony are examples of life expression energies, but there is a complete list in my book.

Could you give us an example of a soul interest?

Sure. An example of a soul interest would be ‘connection,’ which means helping others in any number of ways. Someone with this soul interest would always be connecting with and helping others. He or she would be able to track this throughout life, in one form or another. The rest of the soul interests can be found in my book.

I still remember reflecting on what my soul interests were as I was reading your book where you describe the various categories of soul interests. What got me into some serious self-reflection though was the topic of our life expression energies or signature energies. Can you share a little bit more about them?

We each radiate one or two energies naturally, and Archangel Metatron refers to these as our ‘signature’ energies. We came into this incarnation to radiate these energies, so we don’t have to go to any effort to develop them.

There are nine total life expression energies, and we can consciously work to master them all. Healing, connecting with the highest light and meditation can help you to embody all of these energies. When you reach this, it is a beautiful state of being.

What piece of advice would you give to someone who may be feeling stuck in their career or life right now and trying to find their purpose?

You may be trying to do something that is not in alignment with your soul interests and highest good. In this case, it would be useful to follow the journal prompts in my book.

If you are in a job or career which suits you, but you still feel stuck, it would be helpful to start to call on Archangel Metatron and the angels generally. They can bring back your inspiration and motivation. How can one start exploring their soul interests and life expression energies?

It is all done through self-reflection and by looking at patterns throughout your lifetime. When you know what to look for, the energies stand out, even though they typically appear in different contexts. So, they are usually pretty easy to find.
