How To Use Tarot Cards To Navigate Your Life And Business With Breana Jackson, Intuitive Tarot Expert

holistic wellness tips from experts Aug 18, 2022

Have you ever had a Tarot reading? What is the first thing that you think of when you hear the word Tarot? If you are curious to learn more about Tarot, you’re in the right place. I am chatting with Breana Jackson, an Intuitive Tarot Expert, about all things Tarot and how you can use Tarot cards to navigate your life and business and make decisions that fully support your dreams and aspirations. As a Psychological Anthropologist, Breana knows a thing or two about the human psyche and as a Clairaudient, she’s got the ability to tune in and provide spiritual guidance while helping people deal with the complexities of their minds. Not only has Tarot helped her in her own healing and entrepreneurial journey, but she has been using it to support her clients with life transitions, career changes and matters of the heart.

Bree, what sparked your interest in Tarot and how long have you been reading Tarot cards?

I got into Tarot by chance. I was just watching videos on YouTube, and I was fascinated by the way a reader would connect with the cards and deliver a message that could pertain to me. At times, I felt I was directly spoken to. I decided to buy my own deck, the Rider-Waite deck, which is the first deck to popularise Tarot as a form of divination.

Initially, I would just read for myself. In doing that, it helped me to form my own personal connection with the cards and I began to use them in my healing journey. Spiritually speaking, the Tarot cards helped me to strengthen my relationship with my guides, trust my intuition and make important decisions such as coming to London to study Master's (I am originally from California). I then started to offer readings to friends and family, and, through word of mouth, my practice grew. I spent two years studying Tarot cartomancy and have been offering Tarot readings professionally for about three years now, facilitating sessions in-person and virtually to support people with life transitions, career changes, relationship matters and everyday concerns. My clients come to me with questions about their finances, romantic life, business ventures and the best routes to take to achieve their goals.

How has Tarot helped you in your life and healing journey?

I was going through some personal challenges and was repeating the same negative cycles at work and in my romantic life. This was making me feel defeated, hopeless, and unworthy. I started using Tarot to get a fresh perspective on why I was repeating these cycles and how I could find a way through. I was jobless and in an emotional stump. Tarot helped me to make significant changes and decisions that led to securing job opportunities, relocating to London to complete a Master’s Degree and starting a recreational wellness brand, which I am launching later this year.

How do Tarot cards work?

Tarot cards help you receive spiritual guidance and clarity. A Tarot deck consists of 78 cards that are split between major arcana and minor arcana. The first 22 cards in the deck are the major arcana. They represent the overarching (broader) theme, regardless of the question asked; they bring clarity around life lessons and influences that affect your life. The other 56 cards are the minor arcana - they give an in-depth picture of the issues at hand.

For instance, at a session, if you ask me a question about your financial situation and I pull the High Priestess card, which is a major arcana, it is telling me that you already know the road that you need to take but you are unsure or there is something blocking you. I would then use the minor arcana cards to receive more guidance about the blockage and how you can move past it.

You have facilitated quite a few readings for me in the past few months, and what I love the most about our sessions is that I can bring questions and explore a potential path from multiple perspectives. What are Tarot cards most frequently used for?

Tarot cards are used for clarification. You can bring any issue or question to the session and receive insights and guidance about the best course of action and the potential outcomes of your actions and decisions. Reading Tarot cards, however, is not fortune telling; it is a tool that gives you guidance and informs you of the likeliness that a certain outcome could occur based on your vibration and the decisions you make at the time of the reading. A client can ask me questions verbally or think of a question and hold it in their mind if they feel uncomfortable sharing it aloud. When interpreting the cards, I tap into my clairaudient abilities to provide them with information that brings clarity and helps them understand themselves better so that they can take steps which lead to their desired outcomes.
